Yard of the Month Program This program began as an initiative to boost community pride and beautification. Since the beginning we have noticed an awareness throughout the Village and continue to see healthy competition between neighbors. Lawns and yards are judged by a committee within the Garden Club; these judges are not Village residents. Awarded parties receive a $50 credit on their quarterly utility bill, a certificate and a sign to display on their property. Recipients are eligible once a year. Two Seasonal Awards are also available in which recipients will be given a certificate and sign to display. New Category!! The Village of Turtle Lake has created an additional category to the Yard of the Month Program. The Blooming Yard Award will be received by residents with a yard and landscape that is not only well kept but is also Unique because of an effort to be Creative with the design and composition of their yard. These recipients will also receive a certificate, $50 credit on their quarterly utility bill, and a sign to display in their yard. The Village appreciates all of the hard work by so many of its residents to maintain a healthy and attractive property. Their efforts help make Turtle Lake an appealing choice to visit, play, and live. Thank You. Criteria for Yard of Month is available to download or you may request a copy at the Village Hall.
