DEPUTY
CLERK/TREASURER WANTED
The Village of Turtle Lake is seeking a well qualified individual to provide
administrative support within the Administrative Department.
Duties: Assist in broad range of clerical duties of the Village Hall, including
utility billing clerk, receipt and deposit funds, manage accounts
payable/receivable, assist with tax collection, fulfill monthly accounting,
execute payroll, act as Village receptionist, and assist the Clerk/Treasurer
with other tasks such as elections, permits, audit and meetings.
Qualifications: Intermediate to advanced computer skills. Microsoft Office: Word
& Excel. Applicant must type a minimum of 40 wpm, possess working knowledge of
electronic data processing, attention to detail, ability to prioritize,
effective communication skills, and high level of customer service and
confidentiality.
Wage/Hours: ($14.00
to 15.00 per hour) – Up to 30 hours a week during Monday – Friday, 8AM-4:30PM
Flexible schedule required, as hours per day may vary.

Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; business/office management
skills preferred; accounting knowledge; two to four years related experience
and/or training; and at least two years of customer experience is desired.

PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - COLLEGE STUDENTS WANTED
The Village of Turtle Lake is
seeking a college student to fulfill some of the administrative needs of the
Turtle Lake/Almena Joint Municipal Court. This program will offer students an
opportunity to be exposed to the realm of municipal government and the judicial
system.
Duties: Filing,
correspondence, research, data entry, and assist Court Clerk & Judge during
Municipal Court proceedings and trials.
Qualifications:
Intermediate to advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office: Word & Excel,
Access a plus. Attention to detail, effective communication skills, and
confidentiality a must.
Wage/Hours: $8.00/hr – 8
to 12 hours a week during Monday – Friday, 8;00AM-4:30PM
Flexible schedule. Applicants must commit to a minimum
of three (3) months to the Internship Program, submit to drug testing and
