Club Officers
Tail Twister Patty Nickell Meeting Times & Locations Third Monday
at 7:00 p.m. The TL Lioness raise funds for their many community projects by a Fishing Opener Brat Stand, Pizza Stand at the TL Fair, and Labor Day Weekend Garage Sale to name a few. In addition the members provide labor and/or supplies at the GTLAA Car Show, First Responders Street Dance, various individual Benefits, and work with other groups such as the TL Lions, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, etc. Other project funding goes to the
Wisconsin Lions Camp, Mission To Mexico, Leader Dog, WLF Foundation, Wisconsin
Eye Bank, WLF Hearing, WLF Vision, WLF Diabetes, the Wisconsin Lions Camp Health
Lodge, and the Wisconsin Lions Camp Counselors Fund. How to Become a Lioness If you are interested in becoming a Lioness, contact any of the above listed Officers or come to a meeting as listed above. You then need to be asked to fill out an application. Annual dues: $15.00
Lioness History
The first meeting of
the prospective Turtle Lake Lioness (prior to Charter) On March 15, 1982, the first Elections were held with Officers elected as follows: President - Cheryl Leisz; Vice-President - Diane Bussewitz; Secretary - Annette Effertz; Treasurer - Bobbi Fick; and (3) Board Members Cheryl Pich, Sue Wick and Vicki Brenna. Volunteer Positions were: Some of the Club's first projects were: Charter Members were: Cheryl Leisz, Diane Bussewitz, Annette Effertz, Bobbi Fick, Cheryl Pich, Sue Wick, Vicki Brenna, Shari Merth, Joyce Kasper, Pam Young, Marcia Kalisz, Noreen Hammer, Patty Nickell, Carol Hansen, Sherry Kunkel, Margie Stary, Becky Todd, Jane Greschner, Rose Marie Klingelhoets, Pam Tomlo, Bea Elfers, Pat Hoffmann, Linda Gubasta, Sandy Hardina, Jeanne Richter, Mary Ann Sindelar, Jane Molls, Louise Warland, Nancy Torgerson, Vickie Kasper, and Delores Potvin. Some of the Club's first fundraisers were: The Turtle Lake Lioness Constitution was adopted on June 25, 1992, by the State Council. |
